The Swiss Alps have long been at the top of travelers’ lists of must-sees. This gorgeous mountain range offers some of the most stunning views and amazing activities for all ages and interests, so it’s no wonder it is the place where the majority of our most treasured fairytales come from. With so much to offer, though, it can be quite overwhelming, we at Must Do Travels have gathered a list of some of our favorite Swiss Alps activities.

Furka Pass

If you are looking for breathtaking views, you do not want to pass up the Furka Pass. Take a ride along the hairpin turns and soak in the best Swiss nature can offer.

Bernina Express

If you don’t plan on driving during your visit, you can still experience amazing views by riding the Bernina Express, a train that travels from Chur, Switzerland to Tirano, Italy, allowing you to experience not just the Alps, but also a myriad of cultures and languages along your journey.

Flug Taxi

If you’re feeling adventurous, this paragliding trip is not to be missed! The pilots are incredibly well trained, you get an incredible view of Switzerland and they even serve burgers afterward. In other words, this could be the perfect afternoon … if you’re not afraid of heights.

Gorner Gorge

If you don’t enjoy winter sports, you can still enjoy the Swiss Alps. During the summer, the mountains offer fantastic hiking, but one place we highly recommend you check out is Gorner Gorge. Wooden walkways take you through chasms that have been in the making since the Ice Age. Water flows over green serpentinite rocks and if you show up at the right time, the light from the sun will hit things in just the right way, turning the entire place into a magical sight.

Skiing

Of course, we’re going to talk about skiing when we talk about the Swiss Alps, and if you want the classic Swiss village skiing experience, you need to visit Les Cretes-euroloisirs. This charming ski resort is a winter athlete’s dream.
