From on board Captain Cook Cruises’ boutique style cruise ship ‘Reef Endeavour’
A huge thank you to our friends for suggesting Captain Cook Cruises to us as this was the best way to experience and enjoy Fiji. It was one of the most wonderful holidays ever. As Europeans we had been dreaming of visiting Fiji for ages but the long journey always put us off. However we were greatly rewarded for travelling such a long distance.
When we arrived on board the small cruise ship, we were warmly welcomed by the captain and crew. It was like visiting family and friends, very personal in an intimate atmosphere. All crew members were so lovely and helpful. They even learned all the passengers names and spoilt us with lots of tropical fruit and the most delicious food.
On our seven-day cruise we visited Yasawa and Mamanuca Islands starting with Tivua, Captain Cook Cruises private Island.
Within a week we were able to experience seven Islands, swam and snorkelled on colorful coral reefs in crystal clear, pleasantly warm water. It is one of the most beautiful places to swim and dive surrounded by a vast variety of tropical fish. The palm lined beaches with white coral sand are breathtaking and most of the time we were a maximum of ten people on the whole beach. It is paradise on earth.
Other activities offered on board that we participated in included diving course with PADI, hiking, visiting villages and schools etc.. There was also an opportunity to learn about the environment and marine eco system with Amos, the on board marine biologist. He is very knowledgeable and gave good educational talks.
Besides all of the above, we made wonderful new friends.
I can highly recommend Captain Cook Cruises Fiji and wish everyone to experience this cruise at least once.
