Levi, Finland

Bundle up in a glass igloo under the Northern Lights at this snowy destination. Levi is a resort in Finnish Lapland that is partially comprised of these glass structures. Believe it or not, these igloos are actually quite spacious, with bathrooms and kitchenettes in them, in addition to amenities like heated floors. Yes, it’s cold, but if a cozy igloo doesn’t fix that, we don’t know what will. Of course, while you’re not cozying up in your room, there is skiing nearby, along with sleigh rides, dog sledding and snowmobiling.

Unlike Levi, Whistler is more so for the couples who would prefer to spend their day zipping down the mountain, rather than relaxing at the spa (or you could do both). With Whistler being one of the most popular ski resorts in the world, you can, of course, take advantage of that, but there are also plenty of romantic activities there as well. You can arrange a sleigh ride or take a day to relax those sore, post-skiing muscles.

The town is full of classic European charm, with cafes and boutiques scattered throughout the city.
